I know that this is not going to be well received but I don't advocate
for habits.
To me, habits have the power to reduce you to their uncreative loop and
sooner or later they will become stagnant and so will you
but
if you love what you do and keep repeating it because you are in flow with it and find joy in it
then
I see beauty in sticking to them even if they are hard to maintain.
Being in flow does not mean that you won't enjoy the challenges when things get tough
it means that you find joy in going through the challenges too.
Discipline and habits will help you to get stuff done
but these alone won't make you a better version.
The better version is the one that accept the current one
and loves it completely.
From that
whatever you do or don't will reflect the quality of a free mind that finds joy in being complete regardless of the outcome.
